16 mai.

----------
The overnight stop at the Puerto Romanos hotel in Burgos was more than welcome. I arrived there after a 105 km stage, all against the cold north wind, and I was exhausted.
As I arrived very late there, I could not visit Burgos. The hotel was just close to the Burgos university and used to welcome a lot of Santiago pilgrims.
So, this morning I was not in a hurry to leave as I planned a small stage.
I took my sweet time to cross the city and stopped a few times on my way.
Finally at 11h00 I was out of Burgos, on the way to Vitoria via the N1.
Nothing great for this stage, no real difficulties : approximately 20 km of light climbing and the remaining was on slopes or flat sections. But there was a very dense truck traffic and I had to be very cautious all the way.
Tonight, there should be a bit less than 500 km to go. And I am thinking about changing my route. Will I go to Pampelune and cross the Pyrenees at Roncevaux, as initially planned, or will I choose Irun to enter in France? The difference is ( approximately ) 30 km more if I go via Irun. But the difficulty is not the same
I will decide it tomorrow .
